Wowza! Where did Spring Go?

I'm alive! And finally writing an update!

Mkay, it's now July, and my last post was in early March. 

*facepalm*

Y'all, I need to utilize a schedule to keep up with everything, as it's obviously become too much to handle off the cuff. 

For those who don't know, I co-run an exotic pet shop in my non-author life, and we've gone through some massive changes the last couple months that have taken way more of my time than I'd prefer. It's all getting finished though, and should run smoother, so I'm hoping now I can focus more on writing again, knock on wood.

At the moment, I'm working on eight novels simultaneously. Three are contemporary urban fantasies, completely separate, but exciting. One is an urban paranormal adventure, another is a sci-fi fantasy, another is a fairy-tale retelling-ish novel. The rest are contemporary romance novels. Lots coming up peeps!! 

I'll be sharing teasers and detailed updates about those through my newsletter, so if you aren't signed up for that, be sure to get on that list! I'll still be writing here, but most of the fun stuff will be for newsletter members.

January is Almost Over?!

How? How is January almost over already?! I barely feel like we've passed the first week of the new year. 

2019 is already flying by, and I've gotta catch up!

I'm working on the NaNo novel from 2018 still, slowly but surely it'll get finished. I've been down and out with a nasty flu that's turned my brain to mush. I may be a little behind, but I'll catch up quick.

Finally! "Sandy's Fight" re-published! Also NaNoWriMo Update.

Hiya guys and dolls! Happy December!

I'm excited to finally write this blog post. I'm 99% sure that Sandy's Fight is now the correct manuscript, and has been re-edited by myself and another editor. Adventures in indie publishing, right? =D 

I'm also excited, because I was also able to get the manuscript and cover set and formatted for the paperback edition as well! Amazon is in the process of linking their pages so they appear together, but for the moment, they're both published and available, and that's exciting enough for me! =D

If you want to check them out, here are the links for the Kindle edition, and the paperback edition. I should have both editions up on Barnes and Noble, as well as Smashwords soon (more formatting for their specific sites = tedious and time-devouring work). 

Also, I wanted to post a quick update about NaNoWriMo for this year. I made it to about 20k words, a little less than half the goal. November is probably the absolute worst month to try and write the first draft of a book, second only to December. I think I need to get into the NaNo event in the Spring/Summer instead, I have oodles of time around then, usually.

It was a good effort at least, and I got the premise and beginning of the book started, and am excited so much for this one! It's a stand alone novel, that may turn into a series later, but we shall see. It's one I'm quite invested in personally, and is somewhat difficult to write, but should be a good experience. I'm keeping the details under wraps until it's closer to being finished, but I'm super excited!! =D

Quick Note About "Sandy's Fight"

Hiya guys and dolls! Happy September!

I wanted to write a quick note, as an issue with "Sandy's Fight" has been brought to my attention.

Several of you have let me know of quite a few proofreading issues with it, and when I went back to see what's up, I learned that the wrong manuscript was uploaded to Amazon, and subsequently the final edited version was deleted by mistake. I mixed up the names of them while I was saving the various editions for Kindle, Nook, Smashwords, etc.

So! I'm going to be re-editing the manuscript, and getting it uploaded as quickly as I can. If you haven't read it yet, don't! Gimme a few days to get it updated, and keep an eye out for my post with the update notice. If you've already purchased it, Amazon has an option to update the version you bought, and I'll have that info in the update post (if I can remember lol).

Apologies for the mix up, but thank you for everyone who let me know!! I love and appreciate you guys!

What I'm Working on Right Now

Hiya guys and dolls! How is May treating you? Where I'm at, it's hot hot hot! 

I wanted to post a quick update about for you guys, and see how you're all doing. I'm still working on the sci-fi novel, and the other young adult paranormal action novel (which may end up being a series, we shall see). I didn't get to write at all this past week, but hope to get in some good writing times next week. We're working on our schedule at home to make more time and keep everything moving smoothly, but there's always a challenge, haha.

Slight Change of Plans...

Hiya peeps! How's your first week of April going? Mine has been pretty good so far, luckily. *prays* *throws salt over shoulder* *knocks on wood*

So, I started off my April writing challenge by working more on that sci-fi adventure I started for NaNoWriMo last year, and realized that was part of my problem. I've hit so many walls with that novel so far, it's killing my writing passion.

Sci-fi is a completely new genre for me to write in, and while it's fun in spurts, I can't do a whole novel start to end. I'm going to continue to work on it when I get the buzz to, but in the meantime, I've started a new novel to focus most of my time on.

In the first day of writing I got more than 5K words down for it, which is a much better rate of progress. It's a story I'm actually comfortable with, and the story can flow far easier for me. If it's smooth for me to write, theoretically, it'll be smooth for you to read.

So, while I'm not sticking with the novel I started on this month, I am still writing. Doing another sprint today, and planning on more this weekend. Whoot!

Excited to be able to tell you guys more about it, but that will come in later posts. Stay tuned! :D
