Latest Book is Available!!

Hiya peeps! So excited to share this, finally! My latest book, The Endo Chronicles, is on Amazon in both eBook and Paperback!! Eep!!

It's taken me a couple weeks of wrestling with Amazon to get the paperback up and available, but it's finally done, and I can share!

Check it out!

The Endo Chronicles

 The Endo Chronicles
~Length: 130 (Paperback), 156 Pages (eBook)

~Genres: Women's Fiction, Chick-Lit, Contemporary

The world is full of busy people, millions of dreams, and amazing untold stories of struggles and victories. In this story, six women have their lives changed forever, with only one thing connecting them, aligning their otherwise wildly unrelated journeys.

This book is unlike anything you’ve ever read, diving into the realities of living with an illness that impacts the daily life, and the aspirations, of every 1 in 10 women. Endometriosis is one of the most painful and misdiagnosed conditions known to man, yet, it is hidden, hushed, and ignorantly shamed by society. Inspired by real stories and experiences, this contemporary fiction may just change your life, or the life of someone you know.

*A portion of the proceeds from this book will be donated to Endometriosis research and support causes.

It's a fairly quick read, and a great way to learn about endo and read about amazing people. Please consider sharing, if you feel inspired - more awareness for this condition is always helpful!

So excited! I'm now going to get a bag of chocolate and a drink, and try to remember how to relax.

Endo Awareness Month - Important!!

‼️ Important!! 🗣

Okay, today's post is a big one for me. Not only did my book, "The Endo Chronicles" release today, 🎉 I'm posting on the topic it's written about. Endometriosis.

(Not from my book, but an educational book in the medical field about endo)

This is a condition that, in short, causes internal bleeding, has no cure, and every 1 in 10 women have it. 1 in 10. Think of 10 women you know, and odds are, one of them is standing there bleeding internally, and you don't even know it. 😬😱😖

Endometriosis is listed as one of the top most painful conditions known to man. Obviously, because it's internal bleeding - ouch! This pain often causes vomiting, blacking out, passing out, trips to the emergency room, and if the bleeding is severe enough, blood transfusions. 😰

Along with the debilitating pain, it often causes infertility, which is the most common way this condition is found and diagnosed. The only way it can actually be diagnosed, is through surgery, because the lesions that bleed inside the body can only be seen physically. The side-effects may be visible on scans, but then it's an educated guess, so surgery has to confirm it. 😕

There are 5 stages of endo, 4 most commonly discussed or referred to, and endometriosis can spread to anywhere in the body. Everyone has different levels of pain, and while it isn't an exact cookie-cutter automatic, generally the higher the stage, the worse the pain and spreading.

When it isn't bleeding, spreading throughout the body, or increasing the chance of cancer, it's causing adhesions that glue the organs together. 😬 Because endometriosis produces it's own hormones and basically feeds itself, the only way to get rid of it, is to cut it out by the roots, and by then, it has released more endo cells and is growing somewhere else already, too small for the surgeons to see yet. 😞

uterus with endometriosis
This is a life-long condition. Meds don't stop it. Birth control doesn't stop it. Hysterectomy doesn't stop it. It's an independent, self-sufficient, loves-to-travel b*tch of a condition. That's why I wrote a book about it. That's why I'm posting this. It's hell to live with, and no one wants to talk about it because it's awkward, but it's hell. 🥺

If you have pain that's making you black out, on or off your cycle, that's not normal. Don't listen when people say you're dramatic, weak, or faking it. Your pain is real, you matter, and they need to listen. If you know someone who may have this, don't blow them off, talk to them about it - you may just help save their future. 🤗

Many women with this condition commit suicide, because no one cares, no one listens, and they're living alone in hell being told their weak or just faking it for pills. There may be some bad apples in the mix, but 1 in 10 is millions of women - that's not drama or faking it!! 😤

Chemotherapy drug regularly prescribed to endo patients

You all know someone who has it - me. Stage 5, with uterine cancer that was removed via hysterectomy when I was 21. No kids. This condition is hell. Spread the word, so women and teenagers can catch it early and don't have to lose so much of their life. 😓

Spread awareness. Spread compassion. Let's find a cure. And spread love. 💛
